Oh no, not another newbie...

Hi everyone,

I wanted to pop in and introduce myself. I live in Charlotte, NC, and am a technical writer in real life, as well as a part-time grad student and full-time mom.

So I'm a newbie here, but not a total newbie to aquariums. I had a large FO tank about 7 years ago, but had to sell it off due to having a child and life, etc. The itch to get another tank has never left, so I thought I'd tentatively get back into the community. I'm hoping to be able to start again once I'm out of this dang apartment and into a real house.

I'd like to learn what's changed since then, and how to build a better tank this time around.

I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone! :)

Welcome to AC!

Thanks guys, and FastFly, thanks for the info about the auction! I really wish I could start buying stuff now, but the lack of money and a decent place to put an aquarium sucks. I've been visiting Fintastic lately just to dream and drool. I will definitely bookmark that site and keep it in mind. It's nice to know there are hobbyists in the area. :D
