My pain? My dad owned *that* car until ~1981. I've ridden in it many times, helped sand primer on it, know what the axle splines for its Borrani wheels look like... let's just say we were good friends when I was a kid.
My dad bought it new in '59, sold it for a 9 or 10X profit, but still, that was a mere scrap (<2%) of what it went for at auction. Basically, my dad had a collection going, mostly unrestored cars of moderate value in their unrestored condition. When he decided it was time to retire, he sold the lot of them & bought a money sucking black hole (a 50' boat).
