ok cantoncrew, boojumsnark25, and fishmancometh are all the same person

I got arrogant and thought I could take care of a copperband butterflyfish

I knew you guys would think i couldnt do it (i now know it was a stupid thing to buy), so i created fishmancometh to ask how to care for it

created cantoncrew to ask about new filtration because the new stuff isn't cutting it...

if anyone in the Erie, PA area wants a copperband butterflyfish, please let me know...

Hey man, I know the feeling. Kudos for being able to admit you made a goof -- at least we can learn from our mistakes. Hope you're able to find a new home for the fish.

You know, Cantoncrew, I read your entire post last night before you edited it, and I too think it takes a lot to publically admit your mistakes and apologize. And I understand your motiviation in creating the other IDs. Not to hijack your thread, but, as a member and a moderator here at AC, my pet peave is how quickly MANY members are all too ready to slam another member for lack of experience, mistakes or just any opinion that differs from their own. If I could pinpoint the most negative force on this site, that attitude would be it. It is only more infuriating when the offending attacker obviously has little experience of their own, but rather is just regurgitating what others have said. It is these kinds of attacking posts that discourage folks from posting at all, and in the end causes more hobbyists to leave the hobby because they can't get the info. they need in a decent fashion.

So, as I have said in other posts over the last few years, you can affect change and deliver information much better if it is done in a positive fashion. Let's foster a better environment for sharing info. We all make mistakes, and we don't need to be "punished". We need to learn. Happy posting every one, and good luck Cantoncrew....
