Ok is it bad for my cockatiel to drink the water out the fish tank!!

the only problem is if there is something awful (parasitic, etc) in the water (or on the bird for that matter)

as long as you're keeping your tank well maintained, (and your bird well maintained) i dont see a problem for either creature 8)

I don't know if it is bad for the fish but I don't think it is good for the cockatiel. My cat sometimes drinks from one of my tanks and so far she is fine. I don't like it when she does this so I always get her away from the tank when I see her do it.

it should be perfectly fine for birds and cats alike. the only exception is water that is high in ammonia/nitrites/nitrates or that has medication in it.

i wouldnt let her. there could be bacteria in the water from the fish (and they spawn in there) or something on the cockatiel (they do use their beaks to investigate everything). the last thing you would want is for her to poo in the tank also

i have a cockatiel also, and i wouldnt ever let her drink out of the tank.

shes got her own water anyway.

yes I agree.i remember reading on here that someone let their dog and cat drink some tank water and they got bad infections.
chase her away when you see her do it!

i would be more worried about drowning.
