I have found a place for buying an ackie and care i just want to know your guys opinions on care and if i can get a red one for under 300$. and for the kimberlys im using the same care as the ackies as it was said to work for both and i dont know where to get a good priced kimberly:( Please comment and im ready for dwarf monitors so please dont advise me on anything else :):)

I would LOVE to be able to afford a trio of Kims.....

Oh and If your patient I may have some Yellow Ackie babies available at the beginning of 2013. :D

If you are serious about getting ANY monitor species you'll have to be prepared for their food bill. They have high metabolisms and eat a lot more than a lizard of comparable size. That means you're going to want to start a Dubia Roach colony.....like now. I had mine started about 6 months before I even bought my first pair of Ackies.

Well Bearded Dragons require almost the same care as in temperature/environment and they also eat veggies so maybe your dad would be happier if you went that route.

i already have a beardie and i wanted to breed ackies so is there an alternative food source? my dad doesnt like roaches:)
