Hello all I just bought a used 75g tank and there is old dried coralline algae all over the built in overflow. It looks really bad. Is there any way to get this off. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks.

Have you tried something like an old credit card? Getting it off glass is easy; just use a razor (Carefully). If it's on the overflow, I'd be afraid to scratch it up...

If the old tank is empty and the coraline is dried out I used Kent Marine pro scraper metal and it came right off. ALso tried the white vinegar solution (H2O mix) and that worked to loosen it. The Kent Marine scraper is well worth the 8 bucks or so. If you are careful it won't scratch it. Mine is high gloss black acrylic and doesn't have a scratch on it.
