We had a redtail shark and raphael cat that lived to be at least 15. I can't recall when they were purchased, but we had them before we moved, and they died after being in the 'new' house for that length of time.
WOW I thought mine was growing quickly, though it seems the bigger he gets, the slower he grows. Up to now, he's been in a 55 gallon but I plan on moving soon and with the move, he will be put in a larger tank.
I've had 2 of clown loaches for 8 years . I don't remember how small they were when I got them, but there about 4.5" now.
(and they have NEVER had ich)
I had one goldfish and two kuhlis given to me be a friend moving out of state, I had them 7 years when they died, but they were probably closer to 10 since she'd had them awhile before I got them.
my cousin had a lyretailed panchax for 6 years that twice its usual life span and out lived 3 broods of his young he thinks he died of age but i think the rocket panchax killed him they didnt like him and they took his teeth and threw them in the filter lol
