Which is better suited for my tank. Planted 55 gallon. largest fish are 2 angels and 2 dwarf gouramis. Got a bunch of cories also. I want some that will eat algae well and not reproduce fast or at all and not get that big.

MTS can burrow under substrate which prevents anaerobic pockets. A good substitute to frequent disturbance of substrate to prevent it from getting compact. Compact substrate causes anaerobic pockets which if disturbed can release hydrogen sulfide and severely acute the fish's respiratory system and kill them.

If you can - get both. The nerite snail won't overpopulate your tank and they eat green spot algae. They're also very pretty.

Planet Inverts has them. They have olives, zebras and some other new pretty ones.

I tell you what, olive nerites are the best algae eaters I've ever owned, fish included.
