OMG Cycling *Please Help*

I didn't buy the tank from walmart. I have a mini fluorescent bulb in it for the plants.

If there is one amoung us that hasn't made a bone headed decision while getting into the hobby (or still doesn't do stupid stuff on occation) please step forward and be sainted.

The hobby is all about learning. You can count keeping bettas in those little cup size plastic containers and trying to keep 4 ocars in a 10g amoung some of my fishy mistakes. At least you've got the internet (there was no interent back when I did those things) and the desire to learn how to do it right.

So don't beat yourself up to much for this one. There are way worse things than cycling a 5g with a single betta in it. With the plants in there and the water changes - I wouldn't worry too much about it at all.

You picked a nice looking fishy too. He's quite the handsom fellow.

Looks like you are getting some good advice, just follow what everyone is saying and he should be fine. Just wanted to add...that is one handsome fella you picked up!!

lol St. Bush here lmao my sainthood was stripped long ago... made more mistakes on tanks than i can count.. missmilla your doing fine you'll get a lot of good advice here, take it all with a grain of salt.. in the end you will figure out what you need to do.. oh yeah nice fish
