hello all,
just purchased a syno. ocifellar(i know the spellings wrong) for my 55gal. african peacock tank............
i know syno.'s mix well with africans but would like to know more about my particular kind...........
any info anyone can provide would be appreciated.......
websites, diet, etc etc.........
by the way, hes about 2.5 - 3 inches and i paid $5.99 for him/her.
i do know thats a steal............

I have a couple of them, maybe 10 years old, basically gentle giants. I can't keep Amano or other shrimp in with them - the cats don't eat them, they just spook them and the shrimp climb out of the tanks. They are crepuscular to nocturnal.

PS: it is S. ocellifer

To anyone without a pHd or vast experience like RTR,

crepuscular - means to be active only during the hour or so during dawn and dusk,

good luck
:)
