This skimmer comes with a CAP 1800 pump. The CAP 1800 pump delivers approximately 600gph to power the skimmer.

While I have no personal experience with this skimmer I do not recall seeing any recommendastions for the Aqua Clears.

My experience is that you get what you pay for with skimmers. I use Aqua C. There are many other reputable skimmers out there such as; Euro-Reef, Tunze, Lifereef, Deltec, ASM, ETSS. I would check into these and possibly some others before you buy. I like to use a skimmer that really does skim.

I figured as much the LFS is selling a used but cleaned ASM G1 for $125 thinking about picking it up.
