Orange cichlid egg spots

So my orange cichlid appears to be developing egg spots.. or at least that's what it looks like. Bright orange spots on the anal fin. Do the egg spots develop later in life because I thought that males just had them always.... ? Thanks

Orange Cichlid is very general. What kind of "Orange cichlid"?? You maybe on the wrong site. If it is an Oragne Zebra, then you should be on the Rift Lake Cichlid forum.
