Orbit help

HI all
I got a new orbit fixture from current usa today.

I would like to ask if those little rubber bands that come on the lamp holders are supposed to be there or are just for shipping safety?

I dont want to find the melted....

Those should be heat resistant silicon bands that are designed to stay there while the lights are running. I've got a Coralife PC unit and they say specificaly in the instructions to leave the bands in place:

Do you mean the ones on the bulb?

the ones that are on the bulb bracket,,
the instructions dont say anything about them
