oscar v bala sharks

i baught 2x oscars recently and last night they maulled 1 bala shark and scoffed the other, i have now had to put my bala in with my other fish (communal tank). the other fish are neon's and happy breeding platty's.
my bala will eat these but my oscars will eat my bala, what shall i do, also i have a soft shelled turtle in with the oscars and these all get on fine.
my bala might not last as its wounded but i am concerned. :shark:

What size is the tank?

Its always a good idea to have QT tank setup, especially if you are going to be keeping oscars. It would be a good place to put the bala in the mean time until you figure out what you are going to do with it.

Oscars will indeed eat bala sharks -- been there! Once the balas get big enough to not look like food they should get along OK, though the balas grow a lot slower than the O's. What size is your tank?
