You don't need a ton of light for either. Lighting intensity is only part of the picture. I grew both of these plants very well in a little 10g tank that had one of those old school incandescent light strips designed for those hotdog shaped incandescent bulbs. Instead of running those incandescent bulbs in it, I ran two 9 or 10 watt CFLs. I did have a fortified "plant" substrate in it (FloraMax) and the plants were probably given good amount of CO2 from the stocking. Here was that 10g.
