other DIY Co2

ok iv got a DIy Co2 with the sugar-water and yeast. and it working and all but i was wondering is there other ways of doing this. like could you use viniger and baking soda, or even just put alkaselser in the bottle?

Not sure about using other ingredients with the DIY method. I'm going to use Flourish Excel from Seachem (liquid fert), it's a natural source of carbon that's easier for plants to absorb. You can use that alone or with the DIY setup. Good Luck!

For the cost, I don't think you can beat sugar and yeast for CO2 production. Other methods will work but cost a lot more in the end.

Yeast and sugar is the easyist and cheepest solution out there.

Finally I got my diy co2 system finish... but I forgot one thing in the supplies list... yeast, yep the most important thing. So can Alka-Seltzer or the other things work for the mean time? Or should I just run to neighborhood wal mart and get some?
