Aww My Paradise fish (Similar to a gourami I think) also like to poke holes in the zuchinni. My oto's usually graze the top and eat thin layers of it. If not the zuchinni, I don't know how they are surviving or keeping there belly's fat.

i prefer the wardley's algae wafers because the omega one products contain ash.

I also use wardleys algae wafers and I think that they are great. I usually put 2-3 in before lights out and they are always gone by morning. I am not sure if it is the otos eating some of these, the pleco, or my cories but there is never a trace left. I know that my guppies and mollies also like these so I usually put them in during the day for them. Usually withing 2 hours they are all gone.
