The inspiration for this thread...

My cat just jumped up on my computer desk, looked at me, then batted a stack of post it notes off my desk. Now was that really necessary? Yet, I love her for doing such stupid pain in my butt stuff.

Anyone else?

My sun conure likes to help me type and leaves presents all over the keyboard.

My cat doesn't realize cats are supposed to be independent and sleep a lot. She hangs around me all the time... I mean ALL the time... If I go from point A to B she'll follow me. If I forget something even 2 or 3 times, she'll tag along, back and forth. She purrs most of the time. And rubs. On my old computer it was a real pain because the Reset button was so easy to press; and she'd rub the computer and if I didn't remember to save my work, I was so often SOL. Luckily, my new computer reset button actually takes quite a bit for even me to press.

I do love my cat.

That sounds exactly like one of my cats!! We think he picked it up from the dogs, but he is actually even more clingy than they are, I think its very sweet. Mine also will play fetch with me, he particularly likes the milk rings from the milk jugs. I tell him to get his milky ring...yes I'm a dork

My girl dog Chloe will take things outside and leave them, and even destroy them. This morning, it was one of my daughters good dress shoes...all chewed up. My birkenstocks are more resillient. They get taken out in the snow and left for days and are fine.

Duke, my boy dog is annoying because he growls at and chases Chloe whenever he doesn't like what she is doing. Unfortunately, this sometimes happens when my youngest comes home from college. there seems to be a fight over who gets Amy. Chloe will climb in her lab, and then Duke will growl at her, and a fight will erupt right on top of Amy. Fortunately...the sight of a leash turns a light bulb in Dukie's brain on that says..."Lets go"...so if we bring a leash out and put it on him, he behaves.
These are not little dogs..they are boxers. Chloe is 65 lbs and Duke 95. They romp around the house like a couple of puppies...on the furniture...off..outside, like great thundering beasts.

Boxers... in my case I've found them to be the most reliable, un-spsettable dog of all time. However, they are so lazy.

Years ago, we had this huge boxer named Drago (from Rocky IV, weighed 112 pounds) that liked to take naps in the middle of the hallway. It didn't matter if you were just walking thru or even brooming. The dog wouldn't move.

Right now, we havea afemale named Lisa, that also takes some serious naps. If she is snoring in the garage entrance, you will have to get off the car and shooo her out of the way. Also, if I leave my car's window open for the night, I'm sure to have a dog scented car in the morning. She loves to sleep there, and now you can imagine the state of my door's paint.

Heh, the way my cat Peaches cannot live without me if I am using the restroom. I swear, she can pick locks or something. No matter how tightly I close the door, I'll see a little paw emerge beneath the bottom of the door between the floor. A few pulls and the door pops open. Then, she walks up to me, rubs against my leg and proceeds to stand on her hind legs to paw at whatever may be on the sink.

Yip. Completely pointless, annoying and cute as a bug in a rug. Since she is good at opening things, however, I am considering taking her to a bank vault...

With a huge dog, 7 cats, and 4 kids...I cannot even count....

We do have one brain damaged Coon cat that will always try to slip between your feet out the door. Another 20 lb Coon that thinks he fits ANYWHERE and another Coon that thinks we can understand everything he says and he tells us all about it...he talks more than the 4 kids combined..

Ok...let me add another...the talker, also licks things...he is licking my purse right now..he will lick books, shoes, furniture, the curtains...and no, there is nothing wrong with him that isn't mental..

Right now my cocker is enterin the room. She has a fascination with used toilet paper. I cant count the times I've found the bathroom's waste basket trashed out and the dog running away with a lovely souvenir.
