well at least they have started banning slaghter of something..
 
yeah, people see them as pets, even though the meat is supposed to actually be very healthy and good. Blame Roy Rogers for it, i've seen census numbers that theres more horses in the US then ever. Dekalb has been targetting Cavell for a while over sewage discharges and technicalitees, as well as the USDA inspectors issue, so it wasn't certain they would have remained open anyway. unfortunatly, now people have to deal with old horses, to bad they will do the same thing the do with unwanted cats and dogs and dump em out for someone else to have to deal with, especially since legally you aren't even allowed to use the bullet and backhoe solution and a call to the renderers can be a few hundred bucks all total.
 
We just had a thing on the news a few week ago here in Ohio about a slaughter auction of horses, people where killing them AS SOON as they bought them, seemed to be more like a drug than a meat the way these people where acting.
 
more likely they wanted to get it done before the activists and peta could get to em.

Horses shouldn't be exempt. And, it tastes good.
 
Because they do. I have had horsemeat here in the states, Australia, the Phillipines, Korea, North Africa. All very good. Especially when barbequed and on a stick.
