I'm not even entirely sure what you are talking about at this point. Why would I explain why we are designed to eat meat? From an evolutionary standpoint, we require a small amount of animal protein. I have at no point in this discussion disputed that. I have never said that humans should not eat meat. My entire issue here is with your attitude towards what I choose to eat. I don't think you are reading half of what I am typing. I don't believe anything is added to our design. I believe we adapt. The human stomach digests meat to get the nutrients we need from it, but that does not mean that meat is the only way we are able to get those nutrients, it has simply been the most convenient for some time. Do you know how Homo habilis got protein?

By argueing that point I would have to agree with a part of evolution that I do not belive to be true. When I stated evolution in previous posts I was refering to the lack there of. In my belifes we as humans have been the way we are now since the begining of time. We where created pretty much exactly as we are today. When stating evolution I was refering to our digestive tract, (as our physical bodies are the same as in the begining of time) we do evolve enough to handle changes in weather and diet, but not in physical form. The genus you speak of is in my opinion something other than human, I am sure you can bombard me with links to try to prove otherwise but the only thing I have to dispute that is religion. So in the sake of the rules lets not go there. I still feel that if we where not to eat meat we would not have been given the qualitys that we have of the omnivore. There for as omnivores we need protien's that come from meat, it is the simple biology you asked for. You continue to twist the same words of animal protien, we need MEAT protien otherwise we would not be omnivores, why you can not accept the simple biology that you asked me to present is beyond me but at this point it seems useless to try.

wheres the PROOF? I state again.. manufactured food does NOT substitute the fact that we need proteins from once-living flesh to survive. :wall: There is no such thing as a 'miracle plant' that can sustain us forever. soy is just another bland food that happens to be quite nutritious, and there is no substance on Earth that can be a full and complete substitute to meat. period.

Couldn't say it better so here it is!!! Minus the soy part but still the point is we need meat!!

We don't need meat protein. We need animal protein, that's not twisting anything, that's just fact. The proteins you get from a burger are the same as those I get from a glass of milk. Your view of simple biology and my view of simple biology are very different because you do not believe in evolution, and I do. I don't care to list links on the matter because your beliefs are your own and that's fine.

This thread has now been closed as it has strayed quite far from the starting op's post and has turned into more of a personal battle aimed at people here, rather than disucussing what it started out to be..

One thing that has come to light from this thread, is that we live in a world where there are many many religeons and beliefs. But, because of that fact, we each have to respect the other person's religeous outlook on life..the morals on which they stand by and stick to and not feel that they should have to have their own faith questioned or cross examined by others...

Thanks, enjoy the day..
