Over stocked much?

I'm giving away 2 pumpkinseed sunfish and 3 perch and a guy emailed me and asked if they would be ok in a 10 gallon tank with an Oscar, a Parrot fish, catfish(he specify what kind) and an algae eater(im asusming a pleco). I told him that it was for too small and that it was actually too small for the oscar and that when the oscar reached maturity it would need at leats a 50 gallon.

Yea.. the Oscar will need a bare minimum 75 when mature.. I get emails like that all the time when trying to find homes for my rock bass.

nice, I had a smallmouth bass in my tank for over 6 months, it grew 6 inches while in my tank...then i got carried away feeding it and it ate its self to death
