oxiclean or beach? or something else to clean my decorations?

I've read that a couple of people on this site have used oxiclean to clean their decorations. Does it work just good as bleach? Does Oxiclean require as much rinsing as bleaching does? What does Oxiclean have in it that can harm my fish if not rinsed off properly?
Or is there something else I can use to remove all the (beard) algae growing on my deco?

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Oxyclean is an ozone producer when dissolved in water. It will destroy anything organic, so yes it will kill and clean the decorations. Ozone does have bleaching properties, just as do sodium hypochlorite solutions (Chlorox and other household "bleaches"). Both/either may bleach some colors, both/either may speed the plastics becoming brittle. Oxyclean leaves no harmful residues such as the chlorine of hypochlorite, so rinses free and safe more easily than do household bleaches. Materials treated with household bleaches should be treated with dechlorinating solutions after the bulk of the chlorine material has been rinsed away.
