but which species is it more toxic to in warmer water? thanks for the info.
I would assume the above mentioned species in the cautionary note, since those are the specie that malachite green is already toxic to. However, if you want a definitive answer, you could email Kordon and ask them.

which product name is Kordon's ick medicine?
They have several. Look under the PDS link I gave you:

http://www.novalek.com/kpds.htm

They're listed under "Aquarium Treatments". Most of the ones listed there are for parasite removal. IMO the safest one they list is Rid Ich +.

I have 2 painted whiteskirts. There are pictures of them on the Post pics of your fish thread. I had no clue they were literally painted when I got them. But the colour has faded tremendously and they seem to be doing alright.

Don't mix treatments and certainly don't use meds + heat unless the directions tell you to. IME use the salt + heat method. Follow this article:

Add salt as per the article, not what's on the box of salt.

i still believe meds+heat+salt is the best and fine(for most fish). most meds seem to work better and this is reflected in the books i have read. the meds kill the pathogen (frequently only at one stage of its life cycle) and the heat allows them to go through their life cycle faster so the meds can kick in faster. i have never observed problems as have been discussed concerning higher toxicity of meds at high temps in some fish. i am sure many fish can handle the longer time being infected by a pathogen by not using heat, but many cant. even a hardy species may have a more sensitive individual (hence why he may be the one that is sick in the first place) and therefore needs to be treated as fast as possible to get it out of the effects of the pathogen, and move on to general recovery. everything ELSE i have read pretty much says the opposite of what that one article said, so i am not going to change my ways i have developed using books and experience, based on one or two articles from the internet.

How can you advocate meds + heat when the manufacture of the product tells you that heat will increase the toxicity? Why on earth would you risk it?

As for meds killing the ich, so will salt.

If you want to treat your fish with meds + heat + salt, that's your perogative, however, please do not advise other people to do so. It's a dangerous combination and a lot of people that read these forums are newbies. They will do it without knowing what the risks are or knowing they should monitor the situation carefully.

ONE manufacturer warns that the meds can be more toxic at higher temps to SOME species of fish. i am simply going by what i have read in numerous books. if books are wrong, then we cant really trust anything can we.
