Painting intake tube?

I just got an Eheim Ecco 2236 a week ago and started to cycle my tank, the only problem is the tubes are green and I painted the back of the tank black. really sticks out. So, Can I paint the tubes? I've heard of some people using plastic paint? Has any done this and how did it work?

the krylon fusion is the best spray paint ive used in awhile and ive used 50+ spray cans this year. i love how it repels water better than other spray paints. i just bought a stand and painted it with the fusion, makes better protection from water.

ive found doing a super light coat 1st, then 2nd heavy and heavier final coat works great. just wait a few minutes between coats. dries really fast to!
