Sorry if I am not posting in the right place. I have a 30 gallon tank I want to build a land and water feature in, I would like multiple species. One main semi aquatic, such as some type of frog, skink, or other small lizard, and then some other invertebrates, maybe a few small fish. Some live plants. Any ideas or suggestions of a combo of these that typically live in the same area? Is this even possible. I had originally wanted to start with fire belly toads, but I’m not sure. I would like to find a nice combo before I start on the build

Welcome to AC! I've never done a riparium or paludarium, nor am I sure of the difference. There is a "sticky" at the top of this forum that might help.

I am interested in what you try. I've seen a few paludariums at friends' homes & online, a really cool idea! A club friend had cryptocorynes, orchids, crypts & other plants on the waterfall return. A rare killifish trio in the water part...sorry that's all I remember but it was awesome!

I would love to see what you do. I'm sure others would too.

For inspiration there was a guy on loaches.com (hx) that had a very cool foam sculpted waterfall 1 several years ago...with loaches in mind of course. I'll see if I can find it

There are some options, but it's going to be difficult to have all species come from the same area. First consider that from a 30 gal tank, only about 7,5 gal will be water for the fish, so it'll have to be small fish or maybe like a single betta or something. Then the frogs or lizard have to be pretty small, and not eat the fish. One that would work are those small tree frogs. If the fish aren't too small, a purple vampire crab might be possible.
