Pampering show quality fish

I spoke with a breeder on the phone yesterday and he was talking about his show fish and how he "pampers" them.My time was limited and I did not get to ask him what special treatment he gives his show fish.

Outside of having their own tank, what would be some of the things these fish might receive in the way of special treatment?

If it was me, I'd do small daily water changes. A large variety of live and frozen foods (heavy on color enhancing food like mysis and cyclops-ezz)
