Yesterday, I brought home 4 new panda cories and put them in the QT. I had to take two of them out this morning and put into another QT to medicate because it appears they are sickly (some sort of fungus, I'm afraid) and I didn't want to take the chance of losing all 4.

The two that are still in the original QT have not stopped moving from the minute I finished acclimation and added them to the tank. They are constantly running back and forth and up and down all over the tank and it's never at a leisurely pace (more like blazing fast). They are all over the place and as best I can tell have not even stopped to eat. They are moving so fast, I'm afraid they are going to give themselves heart attacks.

Is this normal? Would their pace be less frenetic if all 4 were able to be together? Do I need to be worried that they are doing this due to stress? I have only seen cories in fish stores up until now but I have never seen them acting this way.

Parameters are:
Ammonia 0
Nitrite 0
Nitrate 10
PH 6.8
Temp ~80

Keep the tank dark for while if lights are on and see if they settle down.

Dont know the extent of their activities so cant say much at the moment.

Hope all goes well.
