Ok, tank stats first, then the question =)
10 gallon, 78F, 0 Ammonia, 0 Nitirites, ? Nitrates (haven't got the test at the moment, but it read 20 at the LFS a few days ago), 7.6 pH, 3 degrees kH and dH.

After a surprisingly fast fishy cycle, I've returned my black skirt quartet and replaced them with 4 Panda Cories and a Betta. When I got them, all 4 of the Pandas had very nice coloration, dark black and bright white. Since I've had them, two, the larger of the four, have developed black markings on the leading edges of their armor, its kind of like they rubbed up against some black chalk or something. The smaller ones have remained a nice clean white. I'm wondering if this is a phase, they're only about an inch long, so they're still pretty young, or an indicator of a problem. All of the cories are equally active and happy, enjoying a diet of sinking pellets, bloodworms, and a bit of crushed flake food (give thems something to hunt for during the day).

What are your thoughts? Has anyone else had Panda's like this?
