Paper Mache for DIY rock setup

Instead of styrofoam, do you think you could model your landscape in paper mache before coating with cement? Gives you a bit more freedom to 'sculpt' and would actually end up being cleaner to do.

i am sure if you soak it in water to get it all out it would be fine.

whatever happened to using clay and firing it?

Good idea.

Clay and firing it requires the opportunity to use a kiln. I personally don't have just sitting around.
