pareutropius debauwi with rams

they are german blue rams.

my ph is 7.4, my gh is 160. ammonia, nitrite 0. I know rams are meant for lower ph and more soft water but these guys were raised in harder water with higher ph originally. That's the kind of water we have here in rochester ny. the rams seem to be doing very well. I put lots of driftwood in the tank and I'm thinking of adding some peat but they are doing so well I'm not in a hurry.
The pareutropius debauwi are like a really fast moving, active cat fish that kind of looks like a black and white striped version of a clear glass cat fish. They also take a lower ph and slightly acid water but again, these guys were raised here and are adjusted to our water conditions. I am concerned that the rams need a higher temperature the the cats for one. Perhaps if the temperture was around 78 everyone would be happy enough. The thing is I have a couple of those pareutropius debauwi and they are a schooling fish and I need 4 more. Currently I don't have room for a bunch in thier tank but I have loads of room in the ram tank for them. If they woun't be a good match I will take the cats back to the lfs.
