I would think that an imbellis would do fine with platies and mollies (some splendens do!), but I don't know how imbellis are with guppies, what if are they like a splendens mixed with guppies?!

They aren't on the list. I'm not sure why. I wouldn't think it would have anything to do with personality. I think it may have something to do with water params or something. But then, Kerri Tetras weren't on the list either. I'll find out soon enough.
I would guess that if the fish you are getting all have a peaceful temperment, prefer similar water conditions, and have similar diets, everything should be fine. That is what I went by. I made a big list, and compared. Then I looked at pictures and picked what I liked best.
