I have a 54 gallon tank with cherry barbs, giant danios, zebra danios, and nerite snails, and as I (unintentionally) have all Southeast Asian fish species, I thought I'd stick with recreating an actual biome. Can anyone suggest a peaceful Southeast Asian bottom dwelling fish that'd get along with my current fishes?

Sids are wonderful fish which are both bottom dwellers and mid-water shoalers.

And, of course, you could have kuhli loaches (striped or black).

I'm also a little bit in love with the teeny-tiny anchor catfish or moth catfish, Hara jerdoni. They do need well oxygenated water and live food, so they are not for everyone. But, omg, amusing!
