Pearling from Cuts in Plants

I did a water change and added my ferts and Excel and my plants began pearling. What I noticed for the first time was that a stem plant that I had clipped had bubbles pouring out of the point where I clipped it. Is this normal?

I'm probably not much help but I pruned my cabomba and anacharis yesterday and they were also bubbling from the stem where I cut them. I also noticed that there's a lot more pearling after I do a water change. I'm pretty sure it's not bubbles from pouring the water in but it might be CO2 getting absorbed into the water while I'm pouring it.

It is perfectly normal. The plant will heal were the cut is made. Pearling is when the O2 bubbles form under leaves and along them because they are producing so much O2 the water cannot dissolve it all.

Pearling after a water change is normal I guess the water from the tap is saturated with gas so the gas produced from the plants can't be dissolved so you get wild pearling.

Thanks for the replies. This is probably why CO2 injectors see more pearling than Excel dosers. The CO2 in solution allows more O2 to come out of solution.

Then ideally, wouldn't you want to NOT see pearling as it means the O2 is not getting dissolved, but rather just shooting straight to the surface?

pearling means there is more o2 in the water dissolved then it can take. pearling is a good sign.

also when doing water change then you get pearling thats just cheating. its not the real thing.

But the reason O2 is not dissolving is because the levels of oxygen in the water have already built up due to it dissolving already... now the levels are saturated and the remainder we dont care about. But just because you see pearling doesnt always mean its bubbling off to the surface, just that there is o2 bubbles on the leaves, many of which eventually dissolve into the water. The moral of the story is that pearling isnt necessarily important and definitely not bad. What is important is your o2 levels are high and pearling is just one indicator that is true. Streaming doesnt indicate a whole lot, just that your plant is growing and is cut, I believe it would happen even if your o2 levels were normal since its coming out too fast to dissolve anyway.

The masters covered it.

But on the small note. My plants too "stream" when i snip em'

This seems pretty much closed but I've been told that plants streaming is similar to bleeding. Many plants are vascular and, while not completely accurate, can be thought of as having veins/arteries. Think of sap being released from trees...
