Got a couple questions here. I bought 2 clown loaches about 3 weeks ago from my LFS here in Savannah, GA. The guy there assured me that it would be fine to have only 2 and that my 30 gallon would be big enough. I guess I took his knowledge to be good and well meaning but as I've read more and more I've discovered this is not the case. My first question is what are the chances of them taking the fish back, and maybe getting my money back. I'd like to trade them for a couple more corys or get my money back, but more than anything I'm simply worried about the welfare of the two loaches.
My second question is how big do peppered corys get? I've heard they grow to a maximum of 2.5 inches. Is this correct? Thanks for the help!

After that, I believe that they should offer you at least equal credit. Make it clear that you received bad advice (and did the research to back it up) and would like to continue doing business with them, but have the option not to (tactfully). Is this a chain or an independent? That may make a big difference...

Thanks for the advice. Luckily, my lfs let me trade the two clown loaches in on two panda cories that seem to be making friends with my 2 peppered cories already in the tank.

My uncle has cories over 5 inches in his 280 African cichlid tank. At first I was like no, they dont get that big. But when you look, they are really big cories. I asked him how they got so big and all he would tell me was they get fed good.
