Well I have no respect for them. The end result doesn't justify the means.

Well, and I think the problem with them is that neither their end nor their means are realistic. I've been a vegetarian for nineteen years, I am all for animal welfare. But when you start talking about my pet dog like he should have voting rights and be able to drive, sorry, you've lost me. and that's the problem- their extremism loses people. so whatever good they could have potentially done, say making certain that medical lab animals are treated as humanely as possible, or funding no kill shelters is lost as well. All they do is make anyone who cares about the way animals are treated look like nutjobs.
