I thought petsmart price matched, but when I went in today they tell me they don't. Does anyone know where it says they price match?

some do some dont

what price were you trying to match? i mean, from what other company? all petsmarts will match the prices from the petsmart website, but not all of them will match other companies like big al's or dr. foster&smith. if it was a petsmart price, make sure you talk to a manager because the cashiers might not know about it.

at the petsmart that i work at, it says that they price match on a poster right outside the managers office. and as far as i know, its any competitor that they will match, at least my store does.

Petsmart has always price matched their own website prices as far a I know.

However, PETCO does not!

The local (Iowa) PetSmarts don't match other websites though.

petsmarts will usually price match from their site, prices can differ in the store, but i only know of one by me that will price match any stores; it usually isnt worth the $8 trip though

Mine always has. I've not tried to get them to match online pricing though. That'd be nice if they did.

My two Petsmarts match their own online prices, one grudgingly (you get this "Don't try this again" look), the other without problems.

All Petsmart stores will pricematch their website, you just need to bring a print-out of the item you are buying. If the cashier gives you grief, ask for a manager. If the manager gives you grief as for their name and store number and let them know you'll be calling corporate to lodge a complaint. At this point the manager should conveniently remember the little binder they have under the register with the price override scan.

Some Petsmart stores will also pricematch other online competitors, but most of them will only pricematch other local advertised prices (as in Sunday paper adverts).

I shop 5 different Petsmarts in the Houston area and they always match their online price. Did you ask for the manager? You could have got some kid who didn't know what he was talking about. It ahs happened to me and I told them to ask the manger and the problem was solved. I seldom pay the store price.
