came home from work today to find one of my sae dried on the floor  My tank was pretty much covered too on all 4 sides (acrylic) and the middle opening had the light right on top of it.

Anyway i did a complete water test and everything was normal except my PH is at 6 due to co2 injection.

Is PH6 too low for tiger/gold barbs and sae? Should i get some crushed coral and put it in my tank. The fishes all looks fine, so just wondering. thanks

I would not jump at adding anything right now. Give it a day or so and see if it starts to rise again. Check your tap water to see what the pH is coming out of it and another test after the tap water has sat out for 24 hours in an open container. If nothing has changed then let us know and we can go from there.

And to answer your question this is the lowest it should be for the barbs. The SAE does prefer it at least 6.5 in a tank.
