PH in Saltwater

I'm starting a mini-reef (10g) and have been looking at powerheads. Something with an adjustable flow maybe.

1) Suggestions on a model you would use.

2) Can the rotating/moving head types stand up in the SW?

In a 10G, I would probably use an Aquaclear 201. I'm sure that a Maxi-Jet model will also be suggested.

Don't bother with a rotating powerhead, they don't really provide that much benefit and the mechanism that provides movement often breaks quite quickly.

I would suggest maxijet. I also have had a powersweep in my tank for 6 months. I have to clean out the gears every 2 to 3 months to keep it rotating. I know many people do not like the powersweeps but I am happy with mine.

I picked up a maxijet. It's pumping away trying to dissolve that salt off of the bottom of the tank. The water was pretty cold. We'll see how it is when I get up. That's where I am right now. Tank, heater, maxijet, salt, and RO water.
