Phoenix Tears

have u tried cancer centers of america? i think is there name they advertise on tele,. they go about treating cancer all the way around thru diet and meditation and holistic approches,.. i'd give it a whirl, there are a few center around one in philly and another out west,. not sure where the rest are,..
The nearest CTCA is in Philly and unfortunately she does not have medical insurance so she is relying on medicaid which they do not accept. I have researched their treatments for this specific type of cancer and unfortunately it varies little from what she is already having done.

I wouldn't expect hash oil to cure cancer but it could certainly help with some of the symptoms.
From what I am reading it is not simply the THC but many other natural chemicals found within the substance that has a profound effect on the cancerous cells. I by no means am naive enough to think that ANYTHING can cure this but as stated I as well as she are exploring her options when it comes to prolonging the inevitable. Cannabis is known to do many things to help with not the symptoms from the cancer itself per se but instead it helps with the side effects of the treatment that she is undergoing. I truly believe in the homeopathic treatment of cannabis and would love to hear personal stories of those who have used the substance in this regard. Right now a man named Rick Simpson is about all I can find when it comes to using this product and I am not satisfied with the opinion of just one man.

sorry to hear, pet. i wish you and your cousin the absolute best.

cancer has a tendency to run rampant in my family and from my understanding, this statement rings very true. i've got aunts, uncles, grand parents... and even mom that would not consider going through chemo again without it. same thing with the wifes family.

Petluvr, I am the corporate food sponsor for The Canadian Cancer Society when they do their Relay For Life here in Regina. I have been doing it for the past 7 years. So I have done much study into this subject.

If there were but one thing I could share with you it would be this. In addition to the product you make mention of do research into the foods that help prevent the growth of micro tumors which is one of the ways that cancer gains its ground in the battle for dominance in the human body. There are also certain foods which actually asisst the body in not only prohibiting the growth of new micro tumors but will help to shrink existing ones.

Here is a google search I just did that will give you a starting place. http://www.google.ca/search?q=foods...s=org.mozilla:en-GB:official&client=firefox-a

My studies have shown me that deep fried and microwaved foods are also a source that can promote the growth of cancer and should actually be avoided.

So sorry to hear of your family member being striken with this.

Hi Larry. A friend of mine sent me an email newsletter that is put out by an MD, a Dr. Mercola, who is very much into holistic, alternative, and complementary medicine. I subscribed and receive these emails daily and I remembered one that dealt with medical marijuana. I found that I hadn't deleted it from my email. Here's the link to this article in one of his emails.

In the email he references Rick Simpson, but he also has references to reports in medical journals, research data and comments by other medical professionals specializing in cancer and other conditions for which marijauna has beneficial applications.

I hope this helps; at the least it does give you more input from experts regarding this issue. I'm so sorry your cousin is sick, Larry. My thoughts and prayers are with you both.

I didn't know that, Larry, but it's free anyway. Maybe I can forward the email to you; pm me your email address if that's OK. That's how I got introduced to this newsletter, (my friend forwarded one to me), and I think, if memory serves, that I was able to read the forwarded emails before I subscribed to the newsletter.

Chef: I have just begun looking into foods, thanks for the information.
Mel: I would love to read that article but I must subscribe before I am able to read it.

If you don't want to subscribe, just give them a non-working email addy. Just tried, and it worked.

Did you family members have medical marijuana or Marinol?

i read Dr. Mercola all the time he is very knowledgeable and helpful with this stuff,.. hes on my facebook posts everyday, his emails have very good things in the every day i just move them to their own folder everyday to read later,..

depending on location and severity... a little of both.

my uncle (who gets both) will take the marinol to prolong and strengthen the affects of the other. this especially helps alleviate his anxiety like symptoms and helps with his appetite. he gets thin and sickly and when he's like that is often when his blood counts are extremely low. it is of my understanding that his appetite is imperative to his health at this point and there are times when it takes both to facilitate that.

i think it's only right to put this out there considering the situation at hand. this same uncle will dang near throw hissy fits when he's only got marinol on hand. in his opinion it's just not the same and he certainly seems to be more anxious with less of an appetite when that's all he has.

*anxious may not be the correct term for what i'm describing, but outwardly the symptoms seem identical. i think you'll know what i'm talking about, but i'm unsure of the medical term.
