I just tested my phosphate and it read 0.2.

What level am I trying to reach here Im assume 0 right.

Now to my next ? I bought a bottle of rowa phos and wow is that stuff fine.

How much do I use and what should I put it in to keep it from going all over the place. Im sure you put it in the filter system in the back where the first chamber skims water in.

I have a 12 gal aqua pod

You're right. You want to get the reading to zero. I use and old stocking (pantyhose) to hold my Rowaphos and place it in my sump where the overflow comes out. If you don't have a sump, place it somewhere where the water can be "pushed" through it.

So how much of the rowa phose do I put in teaspoon tablespoon and so on.

I figured to put it in some pantyhose and let the water flow over it.

I got a calcium test kit also and it reads 520 so Im sure Im good there dont really have anything that absorbs it.

I have trumpet, blastos, ric, and shrooms.

your calcium level is a bit high at 520. You need to be around 380-450. Are you dosing anything for it to be that high?

I have not dosed anything at all just using kent marine salt maybe I did the test wrong. hmmm

Ok I found a bag from my rowa phos it is 100 ml bottle how much of it do I place in the bag for a 12 gallon it does not seem to say.

I know what you mean about the instructions, I've just had a look at mine to see if I could help. I'd use a quarter of it and test after a week. I must admit I just chuck mine in and hope for the best. At the moment I'm just putting mine in just to make sure I keep phosphates away but when I had high readings I used the whole 100ml tub (60gal tank) and after a week there was a dramatic decrease.

With regard to your calcium reading, as long as if you're not dosing I wouldn't worry about it. Mine reads 600 and I've never dosed! Believe me I tried scouring the internet for info on how to reduce it but only found ways on how to increase it. As long as if you're not getting any "snow effect" I wouldn't worry.

Just so you know algae consumes phosphate. So even if your phosphate reads 0 on the test kit there could be some phosphate in the tank. I personally use a PhosBan 150 reactor. Setup was less than $50. I always run the PhosBan just to keep the level at 0.
