Hoping this works.

My 6 foot tank is about 6 weeks old, and stocked with about 20 sundry S. American tetras (kerri, head-and-tail-light, black neons, Buenos Aires), 3 Bolivian butterfly cichlids, 4 corydoras trilianeatus and an SAE. Ambulia and Elodea and milfoil growing lushly, others hanging in there.

It is SO GOOD to have a tank again! More to come soon maybe.

Very nice! I'll move this to the photo section for you!

Thanks Madroosta

The piece of root on the left (1st pic) is found wood - eucalyptus - the piece on the right (last pic) is mulga root. The mulga has some mould growing on it, which is dying down as I thought it would. The eucalyptus root grew some beard alggae on one part but hasn't spread.

As far as the plants go - there's no CO2 - I'm basically seeing what lives and what dies and concentrating on the former.
