Pictus Cat... Whatcha feeding them?

ive tried everything so far, and just cant get him to eat. he's new to the tank so that could be it, or hes just getting all the leftovers at night.

just curious what others had success with?

maybe live food, tetras, fry, or even some frozen stuff?

Mine eat anything that sinks to the bottom of the tank pretty much. Shrimp pellets, algae wafers, frozen thawed brine shrimp, mysis, bloodworms, and I wouldn't be surprised if they picked off some of the guppy fry that go in there as well. They're fishy vacuum cleaners.

Same here, mine get algae wafers, freezedried bloodworms, and whatever flake foos makes it down there. Little piggies

Try sinking shrimp pellets, catfish cant refuse them. My pictus can smell them 6 feet away (literally)

I am sold on HBH soft foods I feed all of my fish including the plecos this stuff they all strike it like you wouldnt believe my pictus actually fight over the stuff.

Wierd, neither of mine will touch shrimp pellets

hmm

He is probably just adjusting to the tank. give him a week or so. The pictus' I had in my 10 gallon before I got on here would eat anything including flakes off the surface of the tank.

We even feed ours blanched zuchinni. They love it....as do our Pleco, guppies, and tetras.
