I have a 30g tank and I would like to get 2 pictus catfish. Is my tank big enough to support 2? Also, what do they eat? I have been all over the Internet and cannot find out what they eat.

They pretty much eat anything. Mine like meatier foods the best, such as bloodworms and frozen shrimp. They readily accept flakes and will eat veggies from time to time. They also will go for shrimp pellets, catfish pellets, etc.

I think they max out at 4-5" so your tank should be plenty big depending on other stocking.

Make sure your tank is cycled completely as they can't take any ammonia or nitrite. Also, be very careful with any medications.

You tank isnt big enough for pictus cats, They are very active and need alot of swimming space, they need a tank that is atleast four feet long. They should also be kept in groups of four or more. Good luck. Oh and mine also prefer meaty foods, they willl eat small fish so be careful.
