I am a Baton Rouge native who moved to VA. I was hoping to find some LA coastal fish for my brackish tank when I came across his name on the NANFA site, recounting a trip he took some folks on to Lake Pontchartrain. I got his email from the story and wrote him. We exchanged several messages, and a few months later when I came home to visit my family in BR, he took me on a collecting trip. I brought home several fish (naked gobies, crabs, shrimp, cockahoe, etc), and ended up contaminating my tank with leaches (see my post a few years ago about it). All of the fish eventually died, probably from the meds I had to use (though my regulars all survived).

So in short, he is a great guy, enthusiastic about fish, and kind to screwball strangers who approach him on the net!! :D

I don't have any natives currently.
