Pipes not fitting/ big lag bolts for stand?

My guess would be that you didnt have the right fittings trying to put them together...I would reccomend having someone in the plumbing section help you get the parts you need...can get rather confusing if you arent to sure of what you are looking for..

one screw at each joint, they are good heavy duty screws...but also on each joint there is a metal brace which screws each piece of wood to the joining part...

I dont see any issues with that layout as the the tank will be sitting on the outside edge of the frame. The middle lengths are there for the extra support..That should give you a good stable base for the tank...

Metal brace? Do you have a picture?

Also should I use check valves or ball valves to get some of the tank-sump water to the fuge.

i just looked over my build thread, i thought there was one on there, but there is not...Its just an angled piece of metal set to a right angle..two screws through one side of angle, and two through the other.....best i can describe..

P.S ball valve

Don't really get it it, but do I need some sorta wood glue? OR just screws?

Oh okayI see now!! Are they necessary though? Or just screwing the wood together will work?

I think I will too. Spending a little more on the stand is better than your tank falling... I am so excited even though it's still 246 days until christmas/ when i'm going to get tank.
