I have a 28g tank with 2 clowns, 2 shrimp, and a bunch of snails. I'm not sure how pounds of live rock I already have but I'm planning to put more because I know I don't have enough. I was planning to buy the Drs Foster and Smith select nano rock (http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/prod_Display.cfm?pCatId=1949). Do I have to remove the fish and shrimp from the tank when I place the new rock in? I won't be moving any of my old rocks probably just a lil of rearranging. How long should I cure the new rock, it says its already pre-cured but still should be cured when I receive it. Thanks in advance for any input.

A lot will depend on how cured it is when you get it. The pre-curing removes most of the dying matter, but there can be some additional die off during shipping. If possible, setup a tub that you can heat and provide with water circulation. Put the rock in there, wait 24-28 hours, and test the water for ammonia. If it's present, you'll need to cure the rock (basically, let it sit in there with good circulation and water changes that keep the ammonia levels below 1 ppm) until there's no more ammonia. If you don't have any ammonia after 2 days, the rock will be fine to add to the tank. Just be careful to make sure you don't trap or squish any current occupants.
