so I got some watersprite because I was told it is viturally impossible to kill and is a very very low light plants

i guess not... bc I think its dieing lol

all the leaves towards the bottom are turning brown. and I came home today and one of the stems like rotted and now one of them is a floating plant lol.

butterfly fish likes the plant so i guess it can stya up there til it prolly dies too

it looked like it was growing a little on the top but now I think my mind was playing tricks on me

and i don't even want to talk about the anachris LOL.... it looks terrible

can dieing plants mess up water chemistry?

You want to stick with java fern, java moss, and anubias. Water sprite is more moderate light than low from what I've seen. Check with Mgamer2000 for low light plants. Decaying plant matter will alter your water chemistry some, but if you're doing weekly water changes you shouldn't have to worry about it.
