Picked up this plant from Wal-Mart today (I know, naughty!). I know I have seen the plastic version in other stores, but I do not know the name. I only picked it out as I have been eyeing it for the past couple weeks and it seems to be flourishing in Wal-Marts low lighting and lack of plant supplements.

TIA for input.

Alternanthera ficoidea aka Hedge..sadly tho you got taken for a ride its a bog plant and will sooner then later rot, pollute and die in your tank.

I have the same plant for about a month now. The exact name is Green Hedge and heres some info:

"Green hedge forms thickly clustered bunches. It may produce tiny white blossoms at the stem. Hedge tends to be very hardy and easy to care for. This plant grows slowly and may be pruned to remain compact."

Mine is growing slowly without any issues.
