Plant ID

I recently saw a FS thread for shrimp but I noticed in the background a very interesting plant that I would like to cover my 10G in but I have no idea what this type of plant is! If anyone could ID this plant for me I'd really appreciate it!

Eleocharis acicularis, at least that's what it looks like to me. Could possibly be Eleocharis belem.

Lilaeopsis novae-zelandiae and other lilaeopsis sp. come to a slight flattened blade near the tip:


Whereas Eleocharis typically retains it's shape all the way to the end of the blade:

There are lots of plants referred to actually as micro sword. Those do better in low/med light conditions than something like hairgrass. I'd go with hairgrass if you have upgraded lighting.

Pretty much all microsword plants are in the Lilaeopsis family. L. novae-zelandiae, L. brasiliensis, L. mauritiana, L. carolinensis.

If I were going to say it looked like any of these, L. mauritiana would be it.. but I still think it looks more like an Eleocharis - the pigmented bands up the blade are typical of Eleocharis sp.

Looks more like Eleocharis to me, personally.
