iv been thinking about this for awhile and im going to do it and it will take a while but I wanted to do two fully planted tanks a 5gal and a 20gal long the first tank ill be doing is the 5gal its going to be a duplex for my betta's and ADF so i need some sugestions on plants that would work with this. right now the only plant i know of thats not to big is java moss. so dose any one know what plants would be good (preferably low maintenance). also at one of my LFS they have dwarf onions and clovers dose anyone know about these, like are the onions safe for fish and is the clover a special aquatic type of clover or is it normal every day ones. and if every thing goes good with the 5gal ill start on the 20 long

Both oinion and clover are very adaptable but onion is far too large for a 5 gal. Clover is a neat little plant that would be a great foreground plant in a 5 gal. For midground plant I would recommend chain sword. I've had great success growing this in my 10 gal under just 28 Watts. Some forms of anubias, just about any form of cryptocoryne and many forms of echinodorus rarely grow higher than 8 - 10'' and would make a fine choice as background plants in a 5 gal. Do a search on tropica.com. If you go to the advanced search option you can type in a value for the aquarium height and get an idea about what will work.

are there any other plants that are adaptable that i could use iv alredy got a bunch of clover's adapted already and im gunna get some more.

Anacharis is a very undemanding plant... you can leave them floating or stick them in your substrate.... they grow like a weed even in a low light tank and suck up nitrates. You'd only need 1 bunch and then when they grow past the height of your tank, just snip 'em and replant to cover more of your tank.
They're available almost in every LFS in my area (Westchester, NY).

i finnally got the five up and running with plants in it iv got mondo grass, aqutic banna, red clovers, common green clovers, and some other plant that was on sale i dont know what it is but its one of the floating plants that can be planted i plan on gettin more clovers to round it off, the tank is looking pretty good as soon as its completly set up i'll post pics
